☀ today's post workout protein smoothie. ☀

banana, chocolate, & peanut butter protein smoothie
Ingredients:
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1 serving of protein (mine is chocolate flavoured, so you might need cocoa powder - add however much you want)
  • 2 ice cubes
  • milk (whole, 2%, almond, or whatever you prefer)
This is a no brainer, you toss it all into a blender. I didn't add the amount of milk because I just add what I feel like is enough. You don't want it too watery. But then again, you can make this to your own personal preference. Whether you'd like more ice, peanut butter, milk. Go for whatever texture you'd like in your smoothie.

Tip: Be sure to peel the banana and stuff it in a sandwich bag in the freezer. You can cut the banana in slices or mash it. I prefer to mash it because its just easier to do once it's in the bag.

If you try this, comment by letting me know and show me a picture! :)

☀ Have a great Thursday! ☀

♡ today's makeup. ♡

Today's make up consisted of these products pictured and a few that are not pictured. Continue to read to find out and to see the final product! (Side note: I am not sponsored at all. I am also not a professional makeup artist. I just do this because it's a hobby of mine and I love learning new things, as far as makeup goes. )

moisturizer, toner, & primer.
I first moisturized with The Body Shop's Vitamin E Moister Cream, then I sprayed Lush Cosmetics' Eau Roma Water over. I know you can also use Eau Roma Water before moisturizing, but this is how I like to do it instead. :) Then I prime my face using Benefit's The POREfessional. It minimizes the appearance of pores, it's lightweight, oil-free, and contains vitamin E. I applied this all over my face.

foundation.
And foundation is obviously next! What I used was Rimmel's Match Perfection in 101 Ivory. Not a surprise. I feel like I talk about this foundation aaaaalllll the time! Sadly, I need to buy a different shade because the sun is out, its spring, and I'm slowly getting darker. Which is a bummer because I just bought this bottle and a newer one in the same shade. :( But anyway, I just applied blotches of it onto my face and down my neck. Then I used a makeup sponge to blend and buff until it looked like skin, basically. I had to do two layers to get better coverage because spots. :( I'm currently debating on whether or not I should buy a beauty blender. Leave a comment below if you have one and recommend it/don't recommend it. :)

concealer.
So... Something tragic happened to me yesterday. I LOST my concealer. It was fairly new as well. ;( BUT if I did have my concealer, I would have used Maybelline's Age Rewind Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. If you want to read more about it, you can find it here on a post I did at the beginning of the month. It's number 18 on the post and if you have one of these, you know how horrible of a loss this is to me.
I would apply this under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, and onto my spots. And blend using the same makeup sponge.

powder foundation.
I topped off the foundation (and concealer if I had it with me) with Rimmel's Stay Matte in the shade 001 Transparent. I used the 106 by Zoeva makeup brush to apply.

bronze & highlight.
This is a new toy of mine! I literally just got it yesterday and, so far, I love it. I'll write a review on this in the future, once I fully have experience with it. I used the 102 by Zoeva for bronzing in the hollows of my cheeks after doing a fishy face. (insert fishy emoji) I also ran it up on the hairline of my forehead and on my jaw. Then I highlighted above my cheeks and made a "C" shape going up to my eyebrow bone. I used 110 by Zoeva to apply. This is the Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette by Becca.

blusher.
I used MAC's Matte Blush in Melba onto my cheeks. It doesn't look it, but it is very pigmented. It's a peachy shade and I've been using it a lot recently. Anyway! I used my 127 by Zoeva to apply it onto the apples of my cheeks.

eye shadow primer & eyeshadow.
I completely forgot to grab a shot of my eye shadow primer, but it's Elf's Eye Primer & Liner Seal. Its a double sided tube, and I used the primer side. I'm also currently testing it to see if it works, like it says it does, and if I like it. The concealer itself is a stick, so instead of directly applying onto the lid, I applied it onto my finger and from there onto my lid. Then I used Maybelline's 24hr Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow. Can I just say something? I LOVE cream eyeshadows and this one is the best one I've ever tried. It's very pigmented, you can do so much with it on your lid, you can wear it as a base, or wear it alone! Anyway, this is in the shade Bad to the Bronze. I recommend this one if you don't know which shade to pick up. I just propped this onto my lid with my fingers. Nothing special done here. :) My personal goal is to hit pan with this.

eye liner.
As for eyeliner, I went and decided to do a cat flick. I always start at the outer corner of my lid, to get the flick just right. And I use a different eyeliner to finish what's needed on the lid itself. For the flick, I use Tarte's Precision Longwear Liner. It's very pigmented and has a skinny felt tip, and I LOVE THIS. It's been my holy grail as of late. Then I run down my lid with Tarte's Inner Rim Liner. This is amazing. It's a liner pencil with a twisty, so I don't have to sharpen it. It's also very pigmented and stays on all day without smudging or wearing off.

eyebrows.
I am in love with this product. For eyebrows, I use Tarte's Amazonian Clay Volumizing Brow Powder in the shade Rich Brown. This makes my eyebrows look so natural and so happy, if that makes sense. I apply this on with 317 by Zoeva. (I should probably do a Zoeva review)

mascara.
Tarte's Lights, Camera, LASHES is my favourite mascara product to use. Thanks to Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty! This is what it looks like. It's an all around great mascara for lengthening, thickening, and just everything really. I even gave one to my mom and she absolutely loves this mascara. But anyway, I just applied this to my top lashes.

lips.
To finish today's makeup, I applied MAC's Matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy. This is an all around favourite and I love to wear it because I feel like it gives me a hint of the 90s. It's a lovely nude.

final product.
This is how it looks, overall. I really love how my eyeshadow came out.
I also really think that the nude lipstick did a great final touch.

If you have any ideas as to what else I should write about, let me know in the comments below! If you decide to do this look, send me a picture and let me know how it went! Because I'm honestly really eager to know! :) Also comment if you own any of these products and what you think of them. Or comment what you want from these products listed. AND comment below concerning the hype of a beauty blender - if its worth it or not. Hope to hear from you all soon!

my night time skin routine.

♡ Hello, dear reader!
For those of you who don't already know, it is super important to wash your face before bed. No exceptions! No matter how little of makeup you have. Yes, even if you did not wear makeup at all! Here is what I currently do and use before resting my head. I'm constantly changing my night routine, due to tending to my skin's needs. So I will most likely blog another post like this, but up to date as to what I do/use. Lately, I've been stressed, so my skin is out of control. So here is what I do:

First thing I do is find a headband or hair tie, sometimes even both.

I then remove my makeup using face wipes.
I LOVE these by Pond's. Which I am currently
out of, so I'm pretty bummed out about.
But then again, it just means another Target trip! :)
So yeah, I remove my makeup with this.
Starting with my eye makeup/eyebrows (if I've got them filled in).
I leave the wipe on my lid for a few seconds,
just so that the cleansing towel picks up
all the makeup, then I wipe it off completely. It takes
me about two tries. You can also apply coconut oil on your lids
and wipe it off with the cleansing towel. (Sorry if this has
already begun to sound like a chatty blog post.)
Then I wipe my entire face, and try to get as much face makeup off.

Never rely on just a cleansing wipe to do all the work.
Always try to have a facial cleanser to pick up the
slack and nourish your skin. :) This will help you out!
What I use is Angels on Bare Skin. It's obviously a dry texture,
so I add water as the directions say, and massage
it onto my face and neck. Then I rinse. :)

If I need to exfoliate a bit more,
I apply Ocean Salt. AND OH MY GOSH,
I LOVE THIS STUFF.

After applying Eu Roma Water toner by Lush
(which I forgot to photograph), I apply this under my eyes.
Its just a sample of the Body Shop's moisture cream.
I just apply under my eyes because I have been going
through a lot of stress lately, and my skin is
freaking out. I've been experiencing a lot of puffiness
under my eyes. This seems to sooth it, so far. :)
I'm still looking for eye creams, so I will keep you all posted!

Then I apply Enzymion moisturizer all over my
face and neck, avoiding the area where I
applied the moister cream. This is packed with vitamins
and nutrients, so my face goes to bed very happy. :)

After I'm done moisturizing, I apply tea tree oil
on my spots. Tea tree oil disinfects and dries out my spots.
You can use a cotton ball, cotton pad, q-tip, whatever you prefer.

Once I'm set after the tea tree oil, I apply Grease
Lightning onto those same spots. I've been breaking
out so much recently and I will get back
to you on how this method works.

Then I apply this on my lips. Might as well
condition them while I'm asleep, right? :)

So that is the end of today's blog post.
Be sure comment your thoughts and suggestions,
or if you would like to/already use any of these products and
let me know what you think! I plan on doing another post like
this soon because I'm actually about to do a different
routine tonight and I will do a product review on it in the near future.
ALSO comment ideas on what you think I should write about.
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you all soon. :)

♥ ulta haul ♥

I stopped by Ulta at about 10am, when they opened, to pick up today's special on their 21 Days of Beauty. I picked up a few other things as well and decided to make a haul post. So let's get started!

Candy Glow
So what Ulta had for their 21 Days of Beauty was Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow by Too Faced. They were 50% off and so I bought two for the price of one. I've used this before and I fell in love with how it left my cheeks! You can build it up, or use one of the three shades. Which is why I love this blush. There are sooo many different ways to use it and I highly recommend it.♥

The next thing I came across were the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. These things are usually $8 and I was able to grab two for $2 each. (This is why I love the sale section.)
The two patterns I purchased were 560 Tie-Dye For & 335 Sweet Marble Floret. I can't wait to use them! :)

So at Ulta this week, Banana Boat has a buy one get one 50% off. I decided to go for this fake tan because I've used it before and loved it, my sister uses it, and my pale self needs it.

And the last couple of things I purchased were a shampoo and conditioner by Ogx. They also have a buy one get one 50% off this week, so jump on that opportunity if you can!

The shampoo I purchased was inspired by a UK vlogger (what a surprise, I know. -sarcasm-) And it is the Coconut Milk Shampoo. I'm so excited to use it and hopefully it'll make it to one of my monthly favourites. :)
It smells like a dream, by the way. ♥

The conditioner I purchased was the Extra Strength Hydrate + Repair Argan Oil of Morocco and it smells SO GOOD. I normally purchase the original one, but decided to get the extra strength, just to see the contrast of how it leaves my hair. This also has silk proteins which will moisturize and hydrate my hair during this warm weather.

♥♥♥♥♥ Thank you for reading. Comment below any suggestions or if you own any of these and how you like them or if you plan on purchasing any of these items. ♥♥♥♥♥
