So sorry I haven't posted in a while. :( School has been so busy, but I literally just finished my last class a few hours ago. So now I want to be able to jump back into writing blogs. I've also created a YouTube channel and I'll leave the link below. But lets get started with my monthly favourites for May!
○ may favourites ○
My first favourite for this month would have to be a hairstyle. I didn't take a photo of myself in it, but I'm wearing it in my May Favs video. :) The hair style that I was really digging the month of may was a half-up topknot. Super simple and nothing complicated. ♡
I got this necklace at topshop and I LOVE it. In the website, it's called the **V Pendant Necklace. If you click the here, it'll take you to the website. :) I absolutely love this and I wear it practically everyday. I think it's super cute and super simple, yet delicate and elegant. If that makes any sense. I'm so obsessed with necklaces at the minute. I get soooo many compliments on this necklace and it makes any outfit look good, honestly.
These sunglasses are another favourite that i get many compliments on. People would literally ask if they could try them on, where I got them, and ask if they could keep them. Of course I said, "NO." I bought these at Forever21 and I searched, and searched, and searched for a link to these, but couldn't find them on the website. :( These suit my face shape very well and that is something very difficult for me to find. I definitely loved these so much that I even bought another pair. But then again, that's normal for me to do because I am so horrible and taking care of my sunglasses.
So I discovered this when I wanted to try something new. I bought Whoosh for my fiancé in a Lush gift box for his BMT graduation and he kept telling me how much he loved it. So I wanted to try it too and got myself a Whoosh. Best. Decision. This stuff is so amazing! So, Whoosh is a shower jelly and I use it with my loofa. When I bought, Whoosh, I cut it up into cubes and I use a cube per shower and this stuff lasts soooo long. Personally, I love to use it after the gym when I shower and it makes me feel so clean and smell so clean! The citrusy scent wakes me up (I prefer to workout in the mornings) and helps me get started for a new day. This is just so perfect and I don't think Whoosh can be topped by any other shower jellies.
This has been my favourite scent, yet again. I believe I've already mentioned this in a different post, but yeah, I love it! *insert heart eye emoji*
My next fav. is a top from Forever21. I really like these styles of blouses because it reminds me of my childhood and reminds me of Mexico. Plus this top hides the food baby, which is great. ;) The name for this top is "Embroidered Woven Peasant Top."
I instantly fell in love with this when I went to Target. And luckily for me, it was on sale. Maybe not luckily for you, reader, because it's probably not sold anymore. :( I mean, that's typically what it's like when it comes to sales. Because with sales, they tend to want to sell the item out completely. But anyway, if you know anything about me, you know that I am a candle hoarder. So this was a perfect addition for my candles and I use this every time I light a P.F. Candle. Which you're about to see next.
I first found out about this through a UK blogger and thought, "Wow, am I ever going to get a candle like this one?" She had great reviews on it and I, a candle lover, wanted my hands on one. So I went back on her Instagram photo and saw that she tagged where it was from and it said Urban Outfitters. Which made me think that it was totally possible for me to get one! Then I realized, after going to an UO, that not all UOs have it. So then I go back and see the post again and go to the actual candle company's Instagram and see that the candle is based off in LA. I go to LA pretty often so I got SUPER EXCITED. I was about to order some online, because I couldn't wait for my next LA trip to grab some. BUT then I see another Instagram post of a local shop saying that they now sell P.F. candles! *breathes* So long story short, these candles were a hunt to find, yet so close to me than what I thought. These are soy candles and their scent is beyond lovely. Plus the packaging is just perfect. Neroli & Eucalyptus is the scent I have been burning the most this month and you can find them here. It is so worth the purchase. These are definitely my favourite candles and it will be hard to not constantly post about them.
This is a limited edition scent from last year and I don't know if they sell it. But if they do, let me know so that I can stock up! This is something that I've been wearing every day and I loooove! It is very citrusy and it makes me happy. :)
I don't have anything else to say other than I recommend this product! It's only sold at Ulta (duh) and it works soooo well! It's gentle and not only cleans the brush/sponge but also removes bacteria.
I got this wonderful bag at Target. I'm also pretty sure they still sell these. What made me love this bag was the fact that it was two of my favourite colours AND had gold hardware. It has one pocket outside, two compartments, and two pockets and one zip-up pocket in one compartment. Inside, it's black with white polkadots. The fluffball keychain is from H&M and I got it because I thought it would be such a nice touch to this bag. I love my little fluffball so much that I gave it a name (Fifi). Fifi is also part of this months favs. :)
Like I've mentioned earlier, I've been workingout and this water bottle helps me so much throughout the day. I believe this is 74oz and the stickers on it are not included. ;) This had to be in my favs because I use this daily. Oh! Almost forgot to mention, but I bought this at Wal-Mart. :)
Another gym edition! These are the Nike Flex 2014 Run and I'm pretty sure I mentioned these in another post? But whatever! These were a birthday gift from my fiancé and he just loves me so much. These are so lightweight and ughhhh I can't put to words how much I love these! Justin, if you're reading this, THANK YOU soooo much for these!!!!!
Let's face this together. My hair is damaged. There, I said it. So now what? Time for some R&B. After sampling this about two or three times at Lush, I came to the conclusion that I needed to purchase it. And it made my hair sooo happy! What I do is I apply it after the shower when my hair is still wet. I put some product in my hand and warm up the product with my hands so that it sort of melts onto my hair as I apply it. Personally, I like the scent, but not many people do. This is ideally for people with curly and dry hair aka me.
Ole Henriksen's Pure Truth Melting Cleanser is something I can't even begin to explain. Basically, you take this gel and massage it on your face and it melts away all your makeup and melts away any caca that you have on your face from the day. You wash it off with water and your face feels like it can breathe and it feels moisturized. This also has collagen and vitamin c. I love this stuff so much. And I wish Costco sold this so that I can buy a big mama version of this. But anyway, this is sold in Sephora. :)
As you can see, these are samples for Urban Decay's eyeshadow primers. :) Personally, I preferred Eden over Original. Original made it to my favs only because I've been using it to test it to see if I like it. And I do, but it definitely not for my lids. Eden, on the other hand, is. BUT they're both good and I recommend you to try them if you're interested. :)
I have been using Urban Decay's Sidecar NONSTOP from their Naked Palette. Its pigmented and shimmery. Unfortunately, the shimmer didn't pick up in the photo, but it is soooo lovely. I've been wearing it on its own and it looks great!
This mascara is a sample from Make Up Forever. This makes my lashes soooo long and I've been wearing this a loooooot. Obviously, since it's made it in my May favs. ;)
This will forever be my favourtie. I talk about this a lot, so you can just check out a tutorial I did here. This is super multipurpose! You can wear it as a base, alone, apply it with your fingers, a brush, apply it lightly or pack it on, you can wear this however. If you've never had/heard of this, definitely go with the shade Bad to the Bronze. That's the shade I use, in this picture, and it fits any skin tone.
I have been on the hunt for an eyelash curler that actually does what its name says it does. Tarte's Neon Light's Eyelash Curler definitely takes the gold on that. This eyelash curler packs all of my lashes in and curls them. I don't have to worry about whether or not eyelashes got tucked in or not. I love this and I've been using it everyday since I got it!
And that is all I've got for my monthly favourites! If you have any recommendations, feel free to leave it in the comments and tell me what you've been loving! :) also tell me if you want to try any of these. Also! Leave suggestions for blog posts you want to see me do. :)
